Paprika, or Pimentón, is grown in different areas of the Iberian peninsula.
The Pimentón I import comes from the region of Murcia, where the “ball” variety red peppers grow. The quality of this paprika is well known throughout Spain, and harvest dates back to the arrival of the peppers from America.
The sweetness of the peppers from Murcia is the result of the dry Mediterranean climate in this region, along with very high temperatures and the type of earth. Pimentón from Murcia is unique in its colour, aroma and flavour, and is a favourite amongst the Spanish people.
